What We Treat Asynchronously
We can treat or refill medications for many common and minor conditions, including:
Medication Refills & Common Infections
- Prescription refills (for stable conditions such as blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, or contraception)
- Mild infections like urinary tract infections (UTI) and sinus infections
- Cold sores (HSV-1)
- Mild acne or skin irritation
Allergies & Minor Injuries
- Seasonal allergies
- Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
- Mild sprains or joint pain without significant swelling or severe pain
What We Do NOT Treat Asynchronously
Some symptoms require video or in-person care. If you currently have any of the following, please do not book an asynchronous visit:
Urgent or Emergency Symptoms
- Chest pain, pressure, or tightness
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Severe headache, dizziness, or lightheadedness
- Confusion, weakness, or numbness
- Any emergency symptoms — call 911
Serious Symptoms & Specific Conditions
- Abdominal pain, vomiting, or fever above 101°F
- Rash near the eyes or mouth
- Type 1 or uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes
- Severe pain or swelling after injury
Important Notes
- You must accept your patient portal invitation after booking — this is how you'll receive your provider's messages.
- If your provider determines your case is not appropriate for asynchronous care, you'll be advised to schedule a video or in-person visit.
