Simple Consult

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Simple Consult telehealth platform. By using this service, you agree to the terms described below. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and physically located in a U.S. state where Simple Consult operates and where our providers are licensed to practice. We do not treat individuals under the age of 18.

2. Scope of Services

Simple Consult offers brief, low-acuity telehealth visits. These visits are typically 10 minutes in duration and intended for non-emergency medical concerns such as minor infections, symptom management, or limited refill requests. We do not offer complex chronic disease management or long-term psychiatric care.

3. No Controlled Substances

Simple Consult does not prescribe controlled substances under any circumstances. If your condition requires medication in this category, we recommend consulting with your primary care provider or a specialist.

4. No Guarantee of Treatment

Booking a visit and submitting payment does not guarantee that treatment will be provided. Treatment is at the discretion of the licensed provider and will only be offered if clinically appropriate.

5. Payment and Fees

Each visit with Simple Consult requires prepayment of a flat $29 fee. This fee covers the consultation only and does not include the cost of any laboratory testing, imaging, or prescribed medications.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Appointments may be canceled up to 6 hours in advance for a full refund. Refunds are not issued for missed or no-show appointments. If technical issues prevent the visit and are reported immediately, Simple Consult will reschedule or refund at our discretion.

7. Lab Testing Policy

If lab testing is recommended, your provider may offer to order tests through a third-party lab partner (e.g., Quantum Quest). You are responsible for the cost of any testing. Results are provided directly by the lab. Simple Consult does not offer follow-up interpretation after the visit. Patients are encouraged to share lab results with their primary care provider.

8. Imaging Policy

Simple Consult does not routinely order imaging. In rare, clinically appropriate cases (e.g., suspected sprain), basic imaging such as an X-ray may be ordered through a third-party facility. You are responsible for the cost and for arranging follow-up. Results are not interpreted by Simple Consult after the visit.

9. Follow-Up Visits

Simple Consult is a one-time visit service. However, patients may book follow-up visits to review labs, discuss imaging, or reassess symptoms. Each follow-up visit is billed at the standard $29 rate. There is no ongoing messaging or longitudinal care provided.

10. Mental Health Conditions

Simple Consult does not offer psychiatric evaluations, counseling, or long-term mental health care. We may provide short-term refills of non-controlled medications for stable conditions such as mild anxiety or depression, based on screening tools like the PHQ-2 or GAD-7.

These visits are not a substitute for ongoing mental health treatment. Patients are encouraged to follow up with their primary care provider or a mental health specialist for comprehensive care.

11. Visit Conditions

To ensure a safe and effective telehealth experience, patients must join from a private, quiet, and secure location. You may not participate in a Simple Consult visit while driving, operating machinery, or in any environment that compromises your safety or confidentiality.

A stable internet connection and a device with working video and audio are required. If technical issues on your end prevent the visit from occurring, you may forfeit the visit fee.

12. Privacy Practices

Your health information is protected under HIPAA. For details on how your data is collected, stored, and used, please review our separate Notice of Privacy Practices.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, where Simple Consult is legally registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Effective Date

These Terms are effective as of June 20, 2025.
